불루 리지산과 쉐난도우 강이 있는 곳.
그곳에서의  삶은 오래 되었어요.
나무 보다도 더 오래 되었지만,
산들 바람과 함께 호흡하는
많은 산들 보다는 오래되지 않았죠.

맑은 물은 거의 본 적이 없는 광부의 아내.
그녀에 대한 온갖 나의 추억이 떠 오르네.

이른 아침에 어머니가 내게 전화해서 엄마의 목소리를 들었죠.
라디오를 듣고 있으니, 머나먼 내 고향이 문득 생각이 나는군요.
차를 운전해 내려가는 중에 문득 이런 생각이 드는군요.
내가 이 고향으로 진작 찾아 왔어야 했는데~
